Kim Schenk

Ms. Schenk has provided damages analysis and expert witness testimony intellectual property litigation in a wide variety of industries, including Communications & Media, Life Sciences, and Consumer Products.

Her experience includes quantifying lost profits, reasonable royalties, price erosion, and defendants’ profits. She has also evaluated commercial success as a secondary consideration of nonobviousness and irreparable harm in the context of injunctions. Ms. Schenk has testified as an expert witness more than twenty matters in Federal Court, including a number of intellectual property trials.

In addition to her experience in intellectual property matters, Ms. Schenk has performed damages assessments for a variety of other types of business disputes, including Lanham Act matters, breach of contract litigation, and general commercial disputes. She has been involved in valuations of privately held businesses, patents and patent portfolios, trademarks, non-competition agreements, and other intangible assets. She also managed several large business valuation projects in the context of estate tax and transfer pricing disputes.

Ms. Schenk was named to the IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals in 2019 and 2020.

Ms. Schenk is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Illinois, and she is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
